So how does self storage work? We’ll look after your stuff so you don’t have to. There is a little more to it than that, but essentially that’s what we do. We’ve explained the entire process in six easy steps so you can get your head around exactly what to expect when you take out self storage with Rent A Space.

1. Decide what type of self storage you need

First things first, we need to know whether you’re looking for household storage or business storage. This will determine the kind of unit we rent to you. So if you want to store kids toys or household overflow, you’ll need a household storage unit. If you want to archive files or store stock, you’ll need a business storage unit.

2. Choose the unit size and the duration of your stay

We pride ourselves on being flexible, so we have storage units ranging from 25sqft to 250sqft. Then, we need to know how long you want to stay with us. We offer short term leases starting at just 2 weeks, or you can stay with us indefinitely. We’re happy to advise on what is the best size and duration unit for your needs, as we don’t want you to pay for more storage than you need. Just give us a call and we’ll help you decide what will work best.

3. Get a quote and reserve your unit

Next step is finding out how much you’re going to have to fork out for your unit. You can do this by filling in our quote form online, or you can give one of our storage experts a call. If you are worried about paying for more storage than you need, you’re better off giving us a call and we’ll make sure you don’t spend money on storage you won’t make use of.

4. Get your packing materials

Whatever you are storing with us, you want to make sure it’s packed properly to avoid any wear and tear whilst in storage, and it makes moving in easier! We have a large range of packing materials available to buy online and on-site, so you’ll always have what you need to pack up properly.

5. Move in

Finally, you move in to Rent A Space and moving in is easy!Our facility is easily accessible and we have free parking on site. We offer discounted van hire when you rent a unit with us and we have an undercover loading bay, as well as pallet trucks and forklifts on site. We do what we can to make moving in as pain-free as possible.
