We’ve put together this handy guide to walk you through step-by-step so you don’t feel overwhelmed. We make moving in as simple as possible so you can get back to the important things in life, moving house, preparing your nursery, planning your trip abroad or simply relaxing in your clutter-free home space. 1. Decide what kind of storage you need
The first thing you need to do is decide whether you are looking for household or business storage. This will determine what kind of unit you rent. If you are looking to store household goods or sports equipment, for example, you need household storage. If you want to archive files or store stock, you need business storage.
2. Choose your unit size and duration of stay
We have units from 25sqft to 10,000sqft and choosing the right size is important. We offer short stay leases for 2 weeks, or you can stay indefinitely. We’re happy to advice on what is the best size and duration unit for your needs, as we don’t want you to pay for more storage than you need. Just give us a call and we’ll help you decide what will work best.
3. Contact us to get a quote and reserve your unit
The next step is to get in touch. Either fill in the form online or call us for a price. We strive to be reasonable and affordable, and we often have offers on our storage! Once you’re happy with the price, we will reserve your unit either in store or on the phone, ready for you to move in. We have staff onsite 7 days a week so you can contact us any time.
4. Get your packing materials
Ensuring your items are packed up suitably for storage is important. You want them to retain their condition whilst in your unit and it makes moving them in easier! We offer a large range of packing materials from boxes to bubble wrap. You can buy them online or you can get them at our reception desk.
5. Move in to your unit
Moving in to your Rent A Space unit us easy. Our facilities are easily accessible and we have free parking on site. We offer discounted van hire when you rent a unit with us and we have an undercover loading bay, as well as pallet trucks and forklifts on site. We try and make moving in as easy and as pain free as possible.
6. Let us do the rest
Once you have moved in to your unit, we’ll take over. Your unit will be padlocked and we’ll give you the key so you can access your unit when it suits you. The rest of the time, your unit will be monitored by our 24 hour CCTV and our staff patrol the storage areas regularly so you can rest assured your things are safe and secure with us.
